Canoe Expeditions |

Our canoe taster days are great for persons or groups looking for a fun day out whilst under the supervision of qualified and experienced instructors. Our instructors will equip you with safety equipment such as buoyancy aid and paddle, after a safety talks you will soon be on the water, practicing paddling in a straight line, turning and stopping.
After a short practice your guide will then lead you down stream. You will learn foundation canoe handling skills as part of a tandem crew along with the principles required to paddle safely as part of a supervised group. Along the way you will be introduced to further skills, which will be handy for the games you will be playing!
If you enjoy the experience, we also run sessions that allow you to combine a canoe trip with an overnight stay in a wild camp shelter – which you’ll make yourself – under our supervision, cooking on an open fire and plenty more besides. Explore the mysterious inlets of the Cornish coastline using our 16 foot Canadian canoes. Learn survival skills such as shelter building, fire-making, beacon building, water collection, water filtration and trapping. Use this remarkable range of experiences to keep your team going through the day and win our team survival challenge! |
