Mountain Biking |
|
We have a selection of superb off-road mountain bike courses located throughout Cornwall. From our fully blown race track in mid-Cornwall to a choice of woodland trails over challenging terrain.
Getting off road for the first time can be a little daunting but our selection of courses will get you off to a great start. We run these throughout the year, with our holiday active courses running every school holiday under our Junior Development Programme.
Junior Development Programme
There are two linked courses under this programme.
Devo 1 is aimed at beginner to intermediate riders from the age of 10 - 14. With the emphasis on having fun and developing skills. The courses are a great introduction into Mountain Biking and once riders have found their feet and developed their skills they can progress on to DeVo 2.
Devo 2 is aimed at riders who serious about their mountain biking although you don't have to be racing Devo 2 is aimed at those looking to improve skills and help riders that are racing to get the results they are looking for on their way to the podium.
These 2 hour courses are aimed at the first timer and those just wanting to experience mountain biking. These courses get you out on one of our Greenleisure Trails and give you an introduction to the skills essential to make the most of the off road experience.
Some of our sites have two parallel tracks running alongside each other, which gives you the chance to race against a friend over some very rough and technical terrain. Jumps and drop offs are built and changed regularly. In addition, we have a series of single track trails which are designed to provide a challenging ride over rough terrain. A variety of obstacles are present along the way to test your bike handling and nerve. All the trails start and finish at a common point and are graded black.
Family Active Programme
These 3 hour sessions are aimed at those with some off road experience, and is suitable for those aged 12 and over. Again, there are two levels of course offered for families and groups under this programme.
